I grew up with strong aspirations of being a stockbroker, envisioning myself walking down Wall Street in my over-priced dress shoes. Fast forward 10 years, and I still have the same vision, only this time I’m walking through the Garment District to pick up materials for my latest project.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Finance, I seized an amazing opportunity within the industry. Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, I began to learn and grow as a consultant. After a short while, however, I began to notice there was one crucial piece missing: passion.

That was when a friend reached out to me, offering an old sewing machine in exchange for helping her move into a new apartment.

What started as a casual exploration quickly evolved into an intense passion. I began thinking about sewing and the elements of design constantly, trying to understand how different garments are made. Diving deeper into the world of textiles and design, I find myself driven by the excitement of turning fabric into art and sharing my process along the way.

Born and raised in Oregon as a first-generation immigrant, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been blessed with. I’m eager to learn and grow as I embark on a new journey in NYC.
