Max’s social alias, GuccciClone, was created to document his self-taught sewing journey. Posting montages of his sewing alongside beginner-friendly tutorials, the accounts began to gain traction on Instagram and TikTok. Within 3 months of GuccciClone’s inception, the accounts had amassed a large following. Max continues to document his journey, with the primary intention of educating others and sharing his learning process.

Max’s audience has shown a keen interest in Sashiko, a form of japanese visible mending. After several videos demonstrating different methods of performing this mending, Max has decided to create a product offering. With an emphasis on education and upcycling, Max encourages his audience to learn to mend clothing using old garments and scraps, as opposed the discarding the garments altogther.

GuccciClone is an extension of Max’s creative project, CLONE, which aims to bring refreshing and diverse perspectives to the world of design by incorporating the opinions of those from all backgrounds.
